The application comes in a sleek dark interface and you can navigate through every element via tabs. Hear includes the expected mixer and equalizer but you’ll also find less common yet highly important elements like a limiter, maximizer, ambiance, 3D and FX. You can also adjust the resonance and intensity of your speakers. Most controls work via sliders, so it’s just a case of testing out until your happy. Hear also comes with an impressive choice of presets, listed in categories like games, movies and TV and speech. The program is fairly easy to use however users might be scared off by all the elements too set. All in all though, it’s just a case of testing until you’re happy with the quality of sound.

With Virtual CD you can not only create and use virtual CDs, but also burn virtual CDs and DVDs. Regardless of whether you yourself would like to test a created DVD, to put together an audio CD or just not happen to have a blank disk for a data CD at hand, with Virtual CD you always have a burner with a blank disk that you can use from any program.

Office 2007 BLACK EDITION is an ongoing project to make Office 2007 more compatible and easier to use. It supports almost every office document format including Open Office and Google Docs formats. This release jumps to version 2, due to the UAC elevation that I’ve kicked around for months. Vista and 7 users can now install from any account and from any UAC level. You will only be asked once to allow ob_install.exe to run; the rest of the script executes perfectly even with UAC on full blast. Post SP2 updates were removed; they took to damn long to install and I wanted to keep the package at ~700 MB. The classic menu not registered bug is also fixed now, sorry to everyone that d/led 1.7.
